My love language is gifts so when God reveals things to me in the forms of a gift I get really, really excited. This Advent season in my own personal study I am going through the book The Greatest Gift, Unwrapping the Full Love Story of Christmas by Ann Voskamp. I have loved the beautiful writing and the reflective questions each day. We have all been told, even said, that in fact the best gift of all is Jesus…but I wonder…do we really believe it? He is always offering more of Himself…all we have to do is come to Him. So…why don’t we? In the hurry and rush of this season we often seem so focused on other things.
I am really enjoying taking my time this Christmas…slowing down to savor the story. As I shared the word hope is was the Lord gave me for Christmas this year and so it is with much hope and expectation I await all He will reveal through drawing near to Himself, the Greatest Gift. As you prepare Him room I pray He shows you how He Himself is the Greatest Gift.
