Day #22- Cozy Up

I have something called my spot on the couch…and everyone knows it.  I have claimed it (and justified it) as mine over these past few months.  It is strategically placed with the ottoman moved for my feet, lots of specific pillows and blankets and located across from the fireplace in view of both staircases, the front and back door (so I know who is coming and going)…and so I can see the TV of course.  The main floor is the hub of our house so being upstairs in bed is no fun.  I want to be right where the action is…and in a place where my voice can carry to any part of the house and (I can hear what’s going on in any part of the house).  Even in this central location, thanks to Daddy being home, mama got a cozy nap today in my spot today!  Whew-hew!

Cozied upMultiple times a day our kiddos ask if they can sit with me and cozy up in my spot.  I never say no!  I love it!  On this dreary, yucky day it is warm and cozy in here and I am so thankful!  When the weather outside is frightful, I want to hibernate and there is nowhere I would rather be than home with our kiddos.  This house has been such an amazing blessing to our family.  God clearly led us here and we are so thankful that He didn’t just give us a house…but a wonderful home in a great neighborhood full of dear friends to raise our family.  He has provided for our every need…and clearly by the Oreo in this picture…many things we don’t need!  Today I am thankful for God’s great faithfulness…even when I am faithless.


Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”  Lamentations 3:22-24

If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.  2 Timothy 2:13
