This morning I waved goodbye to you baby,

As I sit here I wonder if maybe…

could it be that there is a reason

for all of my sadness in this season?

If I had it my way you would stay here forever,

And leave my side you would never.

But God has a plan for you dear little one,

Today you start an amazing journey precious son.

Your life isn’t about what I want for you,

It’s what God has in store, things only He foreknew.

I trust He will guide you each step as He leads,

Immeasurably more is what the Bible reads.

Your very life is proof of that promise you see,

Beyond my wildest dreams God made you and sent you to me.

Bye bye baby, I pray You will always remember,

to God you must give your life and surrender.

May He guide and protect and fill You with love,

so others will desire Him, and what is from above.

I love you more than words can say dear child I adore,

but it is my job to teach you that God loves you more.

As you set out on this path He has destined for you,

I pray you will seek Him in all that you say and do.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.  Ephesians 3:20-21
