Day 24 – Let It Snow

As I was packing up the last (and I mean it…the LAST!) of my Thanksgiving groceries in the back of my car this morning…I saw it! A single snowflake was falling from the sky! The further north I drove, the more steadily it fell! I rocked out all the way home to Sleigh Ride and Winter Wonderland and Let it Snow. By the time I got home everything was covered in white. I no sooner than walked in the door and Jackson was jumping up and down….clearly on a break from virtual school….it’s snowing!!! Even Molly Bear likes the snow…I’m thinking she probably can’t remember how much she loved it as a tiny puppy last year.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday but snow always makes it even better! There’s something magical about the first snowfall…along with my selfish love of being home with my babies and my puppy doing all of the prepping for Thursday. They have all finished their school work until next Monday so it is officially Thanksgiving vacay. Well…Daddy has one more day…but even he is taking Friday off and going to be closed for the first time ever! What a gift! I’m so looking forward to being home as a family this holiday week. YAY!!

As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10-11
