My sister and I visited my Grandparents’ house today for the first time after losing Grandpa and it was so hard. We spent a lot of time reminiscing about growing up there…it was like a 2nd home to us. To not have them there just isn’t right. We came across the blue prints from when they built it in 1969.

While this was their 3rd and final home together, this wasn’t my Grandparents’ true home…they were just passing through. They are now in their eternal home with Jesus where there is no more sorrow, no more pain and no more suffering. I am so thankful for the time we had with them, for so many memories in this house, but mostly that they are rejoicing together forevermore in their true home and we will see them again.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:1-4
