The other day I watched the movie “Christopher Robin” with the kids. We have a fondness for Winnie the Pooh at our house…it was Emalynn’s favorite as a baby. One of the things Pooh said to Christopher was “Doing nothing often leads to the very best kind of something.” Today I experienced just that.

The other day I realized that for the first time in weeks my calendar was completely free for today…nothing.on.it. That never happens! I was so excited to, for once “do nothing”! Well as you can imagine I didn’t do nothing, because there is always something to do, but having extra time today was such a sweet something. I spent extra time in the Word, more time in prayer and had time to just be still and listen. It was so needed! Then I even got a Target run in!

Tonight the kiddos are with my parents so it’s off to date night with my love. So I guess Pooh is right…nothing on my calendar led to a wonderful something today! It was a blessed gift!
