We all have those people in our lives.  You know…the ones who have all of their Christmas shopping done…and wrapped…before Halloween.  I’ve tried to do that before and guess what-?  I end up going WAY overboard.  Today I am thankful that I’ve got a good start to Christmas gifts…and have some good ideas going forward.  Since we are forecasted to get snow here in the mitten state tonight,  I think I will be in more in the mood to address Christmas cards and maybe even wrap a gift or two.  Overall it’s nice to have a little bit of a head start to the Christmas season.

This week in Bible Study we are studying Isaiah 7, specifically Immanuel, God with us.  When I think of Christmas I think of Jesus, being very nature God, and fully human wrapped in flesh and dwelling among us.  What an amazing gift.  Today I am thankful for a head start to thinking about Christmas and that the best gift of all is Jesus.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son,and will call him Immanuel.  Isaiah 7:14
