One of the things I am so thankful for is that Nathan is not only handy, but he works so hard to provide for our family. Whether fixing a tire at the shop or finishing our basement, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty. Being the 3rd generation in his family business that was started in 1952 by his grandfather, he takes his role very seriously and works long, hard hours whether its steaming hot like it has been this summer, or freezing cold in the dead of winter. And he is passing that work ethic along to the 4th generation! There is no place our boys would rather be than at the shop helping their dad and grandpa. Both of them are convinced they will work there when they are old enough.
I asked him a few years ago if it’s hard to give people the bad news about their cars and feel badly about how much it will cost them. He pointed to this picture right in the middle of his desk and said that whenever it gets hard he looks at this photo and remembers the livelihood of our family depends on him…and that people need safe cars to drive of course. I am so grateful for his desire to work hard to not only provide for us, but also serve our loyal customers with the honesty and integrity passed down to him by his father and grandfather.
