These past few days of getting ready for Thanksgiving have been a little hectic. The stores have been bananas! Today at Meijer by the looks of things you would have thought it was 2 days before Christmas. From the Holiday decor everywhere, the traffic jam in the baking aisle to the checkout lines…between the sights and my depleted energy I was caught a little off guard. But it makes me happy that people are out and about and planning get-togethers in these post-pandemic times. It felt a little bit more ‘normal’, and people were so kind and friendly. We used to be annoyed by hustle and bustle…but now it feels like a comfort. I’m grateful people are getting out, getting ready, and getting together!
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
