I awoke this morning to the most exquisite sunrise…and I could see Grand Traverse Bay lined with the deep, luscious golden foliage of the Old Mission Peninsula…from my bed.  What a view!

The greater Grand Traverse area is my favorite place on earth.  Everything from the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore to historic M-22 leading up the Leelanau Peninsula leave me breathless.  They have got to be some of the most beautiful places in God’s earthly creation.

This was our view as the sun was beginning to set on Old Mission this evening.  As a mitten-smitten, born and raised Michigander…perhaps I’m a little biased?  Maybe.  But I feel so blessed to live here and call this place home.  God did something really special when He created this for us to enjoy.  To think…our great God simply spoke this world into existence.  His creativity and brilliance are unimaginable.  We cannot begin to understand Him…and today I and thankful and in awe and wonder of our indescribable God.

My soul, praise Yahweh!
