Day 3- A Cord of 3 Strands

Today my love and I celebrate 20 years of marriage. Given our current crazy and chaotic circumstances of settling into a new house with many construction projects underway, a Varsity Girls Golf Banquet tonight and a Mexico trip planned (Lord willing) for February we were in agreement that gifts were coming in the form of new countertops tomorrow. But my husband…he’s sneaky!

Don’t ask me when or how he pulled it off without me knowing, but he got into the gun safe this morning and pulled out a little shopping bag from my favorite jewelry store. This stunning pendant represents the two of us (I’m the sparkly one, of course) held in the balance with our Savior as the chain. What a beautiful symbol of our life together. And it goes so well with my gift from 10 years ago, no!?

Today I am thankful that a cord of 3 strands is not easily broken!

Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:12
