Day 17 – Flexibility

I’ve often joked that I am a stay-at-home mom who is never home. Both of my positions are extremely flexible and I am so grateful for that! It has allowed me to be there for my kids, family, and friends. But my schedule sure can fill up in a hurry…and the days fly by! Before I know it, I’m headed back to school to get the kiddos and it seems like I just dropped them off! Today we got the call that all of our children will be shifting to virtual learning this week. I am so thankful to be able to be home with them most of the time as they adjust to changes in their school routine.

In September our church began a 40 day fast. I wasn’t quite sure what God wanted me to fast from. Food doesn’t work well for someone who has to routinely give up things in their diet. God made it very clear that my time was what I needed to surrender to Him. I was grateful that each day He provided ways for me to serve Him and others and He faithfully continues to do so. All of my resources belong to Him…time included.

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:6b
