This afternoon as it was getting dark at 4:30 due to daylight savings time, decided to pull out twinkle lights and put them in my fall foliage. Not in an effort to minimize Thanksgiving…it’s my favorite after all…but to celebrate all the more! I love the warm glow and soft reflection the light brings. On these cold, wet, dark days it brings me comfort. The lights also remind me of Jesus, the Light of the world. He always shines His light on the darkest days and speaks just what I need to hear through His Word…a lamp unto my feet and a light into my path. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being my Light of life.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
