The girls had a blast last night at their Bible Study sleep over.  I even got almost 8 hours of sleep!  I was so thrilled at their movie choices.  They could have chosen funny Christmas movies but this morning they watched ‘God’s Not Dead’ and last night they watched a movie I had not seen, ‘Letters to God’.  Based on a true story, it is about a little boy who is ill with cancer and writes and mails letters to God.  In the process the faith of those around him grows.  It’s a tear jerker…but soooo good.  I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a movie to watch!

I found it interesting that a conversation that was the catalyst for this entire Bible Study for Em was a conversation about prayer with one of her friends who didn’t know ‘how’ to pray…and then this movie is what they chose to watch.  There are no coincidences when it comes to God.  It was such a blessed gift to see how only He can bring things full circle.  Only God could have planned and executed our rescue through His Son the way He did.  As we prepare Him room these last few days of Advent, may our letters to God, in whatever form they are, all us to pour out our souls to Him so that He will prove His mercy.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:16
