I love this day! Ever since I was a little girl Thanksgiving was the best. I can remember waking up to the smell of onions and celery simmering for the stuffing and pumpkin pie baking in the oven. I can remember always being gathered with tons of family and having so much fun playing games. We did that today and for the first time I hosted on Thanksgiving Day!

I’ve always said a Sparta girl should know how to bake an apple pie and today my girl made her first one! It was a hit! My first beef brisket was a success along with turkey of course. And we laughed so hard playing rummy tonight.

We are thankful that our family has grown this year…on both sides! Two babies in the last 5 months! Look at this sweet little turkey! Isn’t she a sweetie!? Love her to pieces!

Tonight I rest with such a full heart so thankful for all of God’s abundant blessings. We have begun our StarWars marathon so off I go to a galaxy far, far away.
