Day 23- Choo-choo cars

This morning we had a little coffee/play date with a dear, sweet young mom and her adorable little guy, Jordan, who is 16 months old.  That is my favorite (all be it busy) age!  I was getting ready for their arrival and was getting some of Maxwell’s old toys out and came across his choo-choo cars as he called them at that age.  Oh my heart…

fullsizerender-72I sent this photo to Nathan.  He called me and said…oh that was so fun… it goes so fast…you really have to cherish that time.  So true!  Max wouldn’t go to sleep without his choo-choo cars.  They sat on the bookshelf right next to his crib. Every time he took a nap or went to bed (he would be more than ready as our resident sleep addict) he would point and say in his sweet little voice with a huge smile choo-choo cars!  We would tuck him in with his blue blanky and put his choo-choo cars in his crib and it was lights out.  I cherish those memories…and so many more.

I am so grateful for these babies and the chance to be a wife and mom.  God has not only made my dreams come true, but given me exceedingly, abundantly beyond what I could’ve ever asked or even thought I could ever want.  When I face difficulties like I am right now, it is so easy to get sucked into the negative of it.  But in moments like when I saw these little cars and get them out for a new little one to play with, I am filled with such joy, peace and hope and reminded how I’ve been carried through so much.  God is so good, friends.

May your heart be blessed today by something like our choo-choo cars..an Ebenezer to show God’s great faithfulness thus far.

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”  1 Samuel 7:12
