My cousins….Erin, Sarah (the Bride) and Emily
Em and I went to my cousin Sarah’s Bridal shower this afternoon. She and her twin sister Erin (left…married 2 1/2 years ago) were flower girls in my wedding. Their little sister Emily (right) was just a toddler at the time and tore it up on the dance floor that night. Aren’t they just lovely!?

Aunt Lisa re-living 2 babies at once…this time with boys!
I used to babysit Sarah and Erin when they were babies. It was so much fun. Uncle Al and Aunt Lisa used cloth diapers and I was so worried I was going to poke one of them with the diaper pins. Thankfully I only poked myself! I will never forget how much they loved fresh fruit and vegetables from Aunt Lisa’s garden. You have never seen 2 babies under the age of 1 scarf down yellow squash and zucchini as fast as these 2 did. Now Sarah is getting married in just 2 1/2 months in the beautiful chapel in our church! How exciting!
It was so fun to hear Sarah talking about making Blaine dinner and being so excited to put all of her new baking stuff away. I remember those days so vividly. I always tell brides to enjoy their time of engagement. They usually look at me like I’m crazy because their minds pre-numptually preoccupied. It seems like with all the focus on the big day that special, unique time with your fiancé is rushed. I saw Nathan every single day of our 13-month engagement. While the goal is obviously to get married, never again do engaged couples get that blessed time back. A time full of such awe and wonder of what was to come being pledged to one another.
Today just as I am thankful that God brought Nathan and I together, I am so thankful He did the same for Sarah and Blaine. Congratulations you two! May…
