Day 3- Mr. & Mrs.

Mr. & Mrs.Fourteen years ago the day was one just like this…beautiful, warm and sunny for the beginning of November.  It was a day I will never forget because I became Mrs. Nathan Benham.  This man, I love him so.  He has the most amazing ability to love me even though I don’t deserve it.  He also has the most amazing ability to drive me up the wall…in fact he did that day because he was as cool as a cucumber and I was…well…I was uptight…kind of like…You’re late! …Come on!  Quit watching the Michigan/Michigan State game…Hello!?  We’re getting married!  I have to say that I all too often have these “Elsa” moments as my sister calls them.  The beauty is…he loves me anyway.  And sometimes…well, most of the time…I think he likes to get me all riled up because ultimately I end up laughing hysterically.  A good pairI love how we’re a perfect pair.  God made him just for me, and He made me just for him.  We fit
We just fit…even though he is over a foot taller than I am.  He calls me his rib…which always cracks me up.  Today I am thankful that this man unconditionally and graciously loves me and I am honored to be his wife.

So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.

But for Adam no suitable helper was found.  So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh.  Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

 The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

Genesis 2:20-24

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
