It is my favorite time of year…autumn…leaves…warm, rich spices…cool, crisp air…and November, which means gratitude month! The time of year that each day I search my heart for what I am truly thankful for. It’s interesting that fall is also typically a difficult time physically in which this year is no exception. I am in the thick of recovering from my spinal stimulator implant surgery but today my sister busted me out of the house to spend an afternoon for our quarterly cousin’s lunch.
Once a season my sister and the 2 older sisters I never had, also known as our cousins April and Kelli, take time out of our busy schedules and get together for lunch and catch up on life, love & other mysteries. It is a time I value, cherish and I am so thankful for. All of these ladies have been there for me through it all and the bond we share is so rare. They say you don’t get to choose your family…but God sure knows what I need and I could not have chosen more perfectly than these 3 beautiful women. I am so thankful for each of them.
