Day #18- This is the day…

Snow day!

Last night after playing in the snow until after dark all 3 children were vying for the ice maker…we need ice!!  After a few minutes I asked them what they did with it and they said they flushed it down the toilet!?  Apparently this along with sleeping with your pajamas inside out with a spoon under your pillow means that tomorrow will be a snow day.  The 5 a.m. wakeup call this morning confirmed that, even though it’s only November, today is in fact a snow day!

CapYesterday as I was home by myself watching the snow fall I really didn’t like that my children were not home with me.  Today I am delighted.  I love snow days!  It’s like a free day!  We are snuggled up watching Mickey Mouse with forts built in the living room in our jammies and slippers making mental notes of the movies we want to watch.  Jackson just proclaimed he is ready to save the day dressed as Captain America so it looks like we are safe…that’s a good thing…and Max and Em have already built some Lego creations.  So fun!  Now if we can get everyone down for a nap this afternoon so mommy can rest, that will be a miracle…perhaps I should go flush some ice-?…teehee

giftAs I opened the eggs this morning my heart so happy to be home with my children I noticed something I had not before. I saw Psalm 118:24 stamped inside the top of the carton!  Why I didn’t notice that with the first 10 eggs I have no idea, but was clearly God saving this little gift for me today.  Today I am so grateful that…

This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.  Psalm 118:24 NASB
