Every year when we celebrate Advent we have what we call the “Christ present”. Traditionally we have put verses in it or testimonies of how we have experienced the hope, peace, joy and love of Jesus as a thank you to Him. This year a preschool teacher from our church introduced us to a book called “The Sparkle Box.”
In it a little boy finds the true meaning of Christmas through giving to others. Another good book she recommended is “Ronnie Wilson’s Gift” by Francis Chan. This year our “sparkle box” is filled with little slips of paper that we fill out when we do for or give to others in an effort to teach our children that what we do for others…we do for Jesus.
