One thing I never get sick of year after year is A Charlie Brown Christmas. I always get all teary-eyed every time I hear Linus explain what Christmas is all about. That same story I never get sick of hearing. One of my favorite things is hearing little ones sing and praise the name of Jesus at Christmas. It just never gets old.
I had the privilege this morning of visiting the church I grew up in to sing special music with my mom and sister. I always love visiting that church but especially at Christmas. The building has changed a lot but is still filled with so many friends I know and love. Visiting always brings back a flood of memories. Before we sang the little 2 and 3 year olds and 4 and 5 years olds all got up and sang a few songs. It was so sweet to see them singing about Baby Jesus!
Tonight both Emalynn and Maxwell have their big Christmas musical, Camel Lot. They’ve been rehearsing for MONTHS…I even know all the words! I am so excited for them! These are memories they will never forget! What I love the most is that no matter what the music is, no matter what the lines are it always comes back to the same old story I never get sick of hearing…what Christmas is all about. It’s so simple that even children can understand God’s magnificent plan for the redemption of mankind…His Son. I hope that you are blessed this Christmas by being able to see the wonders of His love through the eyes of a child.
